Case Study Summary
Trethowans is a large, successful legal practice based in the South of England. They wanted to update their brand profile and grow their business, without alienating their existing client base. Working with The Bridge, a new brand was created and implemented successfully, which has supported their year on year growth.
What Happened?
The Bridge became Trethowans' marketing partner after winning a competitive pitch to update the Trethowans brand. The challenge ahead was to create a new brand identity for the practice which was fresh but still recognised the traditions of the organisation and the values of the existing clients. The aim was then to use this new brand to grow all areas of Trethowans' business, most particularly the commercial sector.
A new brand based on the ‘how can we help you?' concept was launched after The Bridge identified the presence of the word ‘how' in the practice name: Trethowans. This was positively received by the Trethowans Board and clients alike who felt it fitted well with the future and values of the organisation. The new concept was then rolled out as a full scale, organisation wide rebrand. The Bridge produced client packs, flyers, photography, stationery, exhibition graphics, a bespoke content-managed website, a large volume of directory and display advertising, including billboards and taxis and even the practice Christmas card. They helped ensure that the engaging, ‘how can we help you?' message was well distributed and clearly linked with Trethowans.
The Outcome
Since The Bridge began working with with the new Marketing Director at Trethowans, the practice has grown by one third. Growth has been particularly strong in the commercial sector, an area where the practice was keen to expand, something The Bridge has worked hard to support. The Bridge now has a long-standing client relationship with Trethowans and has worked with them through several marketing campaigns since 2002. As Bryn Hughes, Marketing Director of Trethowans commented of The Bridge, "They have never let us down. They are always a great resource to take our plans forward. They keep an eye on everything and really know what the Board will accept. The Bridge knows how to make stuff happen."
